Digital Matte Ink

Digital Matte Ink, it’s a great way to enhance your artwork.

Digital Matte Ink is the opposite of UV varnishing but gives a similar effect. Artwork can be set up indicating the Digital Matte Ink as a coloured layer or mask.

Digital Matte Ink offers you the opportunity to further enhance creativity on small volume and variable data printing projects.

The digital matte ink is indicated in your document as an orange Spot colour 0/53/100/0, create and name this colour “Digital Matte”, then set it to overprint.

Where this colour is applied in your artwork it will be matte, everything else will remain gloss. Where it has been masked off will remain glossy while the rest will be matte.

In illustrator you can apply the matte elements to a separate layer . . .
